Kappa Alpha Theta warmly welcomes you to TCU and congratulates you on your acceptance. All of us are just as excited about Recruitment this year as you are and we cannot wait to meet each and every one of you. When we all went through Recruitment, we knew there was something extra special about Theta and we want to share this feeling with you.

Theta fosters friendship, scholarship, leadership and most importantly, sisterhood. Coming to college is a huge transition that can be scary at times, but having sisters provides so much comfort. The Theta house is a home away from home for all us in Kappa Alpha Theta. Joining this sisterhood has given us a family to love and laugh with as we grow into mature and wonderful young women.

When you come to your new “home” on Bid Day you will be welcomed by 125 smiling faces. Your new sisters will cheer you on when you ace your first exam and comfort you when you are feeling homesick. Theta is for a lifetime. We will be with you through the college years and long after as you enter adulthood. From dancing the night away with your sisters at one of Theta’s theme parties, to inviting that new fraternity boy to one of our awesome date nights, you will never be without a moment to make a Theta memory.

As new members you will not only be involved in our fun sisterhood events and parties, but we will also be there to help you with the academic side of college. Theta has a strong academic background including everything from personalized tutoring to group study sessions in the Theta House (our sisters have a variety of majors). TCU Thetas have a strong impact on our campus and in our community as well. Our philanthropy supports Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA, during our annual 5k run held over TCU Family Weekend. It is a great excuse to hang out with your sisters and get out and involved in the Greek and Fort Worth communities.

For us, “Thinking Theta” is a decision that has enriched our college experience and will last us a lifetime. Somewhere in between laughing with your Big Sister, weekend trips to Target, and those late night talks, you will find out what “Theta Love” is all about. Joining a sorority provides an immediate sense of belonging and we hope that you too, can become a part of this wonderful group of ladies and find a place where you will always belong - with Theta.
